Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Islamic Republic of Iran to Vietnam Ali Akbar at the MoC’s headquarters on November 23rd.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi received Iranian Ambassador to Vietnam.

Ambassador Ali Akbar expressed his pleasure to visit and work with the Ministry of Construction, and thanked Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi for an enthusiastic welcome. Ambassador Ali Akbar highly appreciated Vietnam's position as an active member in bilateral and multilateral forums and of the United Nations Security Council. Vietnam perfectly suited to its role at UN organizations, such as the United Nations International Law Commission and the United Nations Human Rights Council in coming time.

Construction Engineering Service Exporters Association and the Construction Engineering Department of Iran are always ready to establish a partnership with the Ministry of Construction. These are reputable organizations, with extensive experience in the field of construction, especially the construction of urban areas, high-tech zones, and affordable houses, said Ambassador Ali Akbar.

Ambassador Ali Akbar expressed his wishes to cooperate with Vietnam in supplying construction equipment, construction stone, asphalt and others.

Ministry of Construction always creates conditions and supports organizations and businesses of the two sides to promote joint ventures and cooperation in the field of construction, especially in the field of housing construction for low and middle-income people.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi assigned the International Cooperation Department (under the Ministry of Construction) to be the focal point to connect, exchange and expand cooperation with the Iran Embassy and partners in order to strengthen the cooperation relationship between two countries in the near future.
