Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Hong Minh met and worked with the delegation of the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT) led by Deputy Minister Yun Seong Won on July 6th.

During the talks between Deputy Minister Bui Hong Minh and his counterpart Yun Seong Won, the two sides highly appreciated the cooperation between two countries Vietnam - Korea over the years in fields of economy, trade and investment.
Diplomatic relation between Vietnam and Korea was established in 1992, and has been continuously consolidated and strengthened for the development of both sides. Two sides have actively cooperated in the fields of housing development, urban development, and smart city construction, which are also Korea's strengths and interested by the MoC. Korean businesses and organizations are promoting the implementation of a number of construction investment projects in Vietnam, including social housing development and smart city.
Vietnam is a developing country, with a large population about 100 million people, GDP growth rate in recent years has been high in the past few years region and the world. In the coming time, Vietnam will still maintain a relatively fast urbanization rate, which is expected to reach over 50% by 2045, so the demand for housing, technical infrastructure, old urban embellishment, new urban development is very urgent and has great potential for cooperation between two sides.
Deputy Minister Bui Hong Minh appreciated Korea's successful experiences and scientific and technical background in the fields of architecture, planning and construction, urban and housing development and hoped that two sides would cooperate to develop specific plans and policy.
Ministry of Construction always supported and created favorable conditions for Korean businesses to cooperate effectively in Vietnam, and believed that the cooperation relationship between the Vietnam MoC and the Korean MLIT would be further strengthened in the near future, said Deputy Minister Bui Hong Minh.
