This number was informed by Mr. Le Van Duc - Director of Ha Noi Department of Construction during the meeting with People’s Committee on the implementation of tasks in first 5 months and plan for the last 7 last months of 2014.
In the first 5 months, the whole city has issued 4,101 construction certificates with a total floor area of 1,194,774 m2 and had checked 7,696 construction sites and solved 1,157 cases of violations, of which 865 cases of unauthorized construction, 174 of false building cases and 118 other violations.
The total area of the new building is approximately 5.0 million m2, of which the housing project about 3.2 million m2, equivalent to 25 707 units. For social housing, according to housing development programs planned by 2015 approximately 1,602,725 m2 of construction, with about 47 973 apartments. To date, more than 642 thousand m2 for social housing were completed. Expected later this year, 4 projects with about 119 306 m2 of building floor area, about 3,005 apartments will be finished.
