• Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Vietnam Sub-Committee of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee had a meeting with the Cuban First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gerardo Peñalver Portal on August 30th. There were leaders of functional units under the Ministry of Construction; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén and members of delegation of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the meeting.

  • Vietnam's Ministry of Construction (MOC) coordinated with Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) organized the webinar on Sewerage Policies and Solutions for Climate Change Adaptation on August 25th. Associate professor, Dr. Mai Thi Lien Huong - Director of Department of Technical Infrastructure (MOC) and Mr. Atsushi Tajima - Director of External Affairs and Construction Office, Department of Sewerage & Wastewater Management (MLIT) co-chaired the seminar.

  • Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh and the MoC’s delegation visited the Cuban Embassy in Hanoi on August 25th to send donations to help Cuba address the aftermaths of the recent oil storage facility fire in presence of representatives of the Central Committee for External Relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, and businesses; Cuban Ambassador Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen and officials of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam.

  • Vietnam's Ministry of Construction (MOC) and Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) jointly organized the 15th Periodic Meeting on Technical Cooperation in the field of sewerage and wastewater treatment on August 25th. Under the authorization of leaders of the two ministries, the Director of the Department of Technical Infrastructure (MOC) Mai Thi Lien Huong and the Director of the Sewerage and Wastewater Management Department (MLIT) Matsubara Makoto co-chaired the meeting.

  • Deputy Minister Bui Hong Minh worked with a delegation of the World Bank (WB), led by Mr. Danny Leipziger - former WB Vice President of WB in charge of Economic Management and Poverty Reduction, the Executive Director of the Growth Dialogue as Head of Mission, on priorities in the National Master Plan including urban system development and integrated solid waste management.

  • Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh had a meeting and worked with Mr. Yerkin Tatishev - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kusto Group in the presence of leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction and Kusto Group on August 8th, 2022.

  • The Ministry of Construction coordinated with the Korean Embassy to Vietnam to organize a seminar with Korean construction enterprises on the construction law on August 8th. Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - Director of the International Cooperation Department (under the Ministry of Construction) and Mr. Kim You In - Construction Counselor of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam chaired the seminar.

  • A conference "Promoting the development of social housing for workers and low-income people" was held in the form of offline and online, chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 1st. There were Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh; Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi; leaders of functional ministries and branches, representatives of a number of corporations and enterprises operating in the same field; leaders of localities with high demand for social housing and housing for workers at the conference.

  • Implementing the commitment at COP26, setting the goal of "Vietnam achieves net zero emissions by 2050", on July 29, Eurowindow Joint Stock Company cooperated with the Department of Building Materials, Department of Science, Technology and Environment under the MoC organized a workshop with the theme "Building material solutions to meet green buildings with sustainable architecture".

  • The delegation of the Ministry of Construction led by Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung had a working session with the German Development Cooperation Organization (GIZ) and the Potsdam city government (Germany) during a business trip to Europe in early July.

  • Vietnamese Ministry of Construction and Laos Ministry of Public Works and Transport signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on construction in Ha Noi on July 13 with the participation of Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Laos Minister of Public Works and Transport Viengsavath Siphandone, Deputy Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam Chanthaphone Khammachanh, members of the Lao delegation, leaders of functional departments and agencies under the MoC.
