• The Vietnam – Australia Water Week 2021 co-hosted by the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA) and the Australia Water Association (AWA) in online form. Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung attended and spoke at the Opening Ceremony.

  • The fourth annual meeting of the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN) would be held in the form of videoconference on August 30 with the participation of 26 member cities, representatives from ASEAN countries, the ASEAN Secretariat and partners; representatives of the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction, and 03 cities (Ha noi, Da nang and Ho Chi Minh city).

  • On August 18, 2021, in Hanoi, authorized by leaders of the Ministry of Construction, Director of the Technical Infrastructure Department Mai Thi Lien Huong attended and gave a speech at the General Conference of the 2nd Asia Wastewater Management Partnership (AwaP) was held online with partner countries Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and Cambodia.

  • The acceptance ceremony of the new Lao National Assembly Building was held in Vientiane on August 8th. This is a gift from Vietnam Party, State and people to the Laos Party, State and people. There were Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung; Vice Chairman of the Laos National Assembly, Head of the Steering Committee for the construction of the new Laos National Assembly Building – Mr Sommad Pholsena; Major General Nguyen Quoc Dung, Commander of Army Corps 11, and representatives of relevant ministries, departments, branches and units of Vietnam and Laos at the ceremony.

  • Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi received Cuban Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hermández Guillén, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Construction on August 3th.

  • Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Hong Minh met and worked with the delegation of the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT) led by Deputy Minister Yun Seong Won on July 6th.

  • Department of Technical Infrastructure (Ministry of Construction) in collaboration with German Development Cooperation (GIZ), International NGO HealthBridge (Canada) and World Resources Institute (WRI) co-organized the 1st consultation workshop for Technical guideline on bicycle infrastructure design (on the online format) on June 3rd. 

  • The medal award ceremony for the cause of construction sector development to Mr Kitamura Shu – Vice Chief Representative, JICA Vietnam Office and Mr Ibaraki Makoto - Policy advisor in the drainage sector, Department of Technical Infrastructure (under the Ministry of Construction) took place at the Ministry of Construction’s headquarter on May 12.  

  • On May 12, 2021, the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) signed a record of discussion on the Technical assistance for strengthening the capacity in urban development management in response to climate change through the establishment of urban planning and development management information system in Vietnam (UPIS) with presence of Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung, leaders of the Department of Architecture Planning, Department of International Cooperation, Department of Urban Development (under the Ministry of Construction), leaders of the Department of Construction of Thai Nguyen province. On the KOICA side, there was the Country Director of the KOICA Office in Vietnam Cho Han-Deog along with experts and staff of the Office at the signing ceremony. 

  • The Ministry of Construction held a training conference "Introducing experiences in developing social housing in Korea and improving policies for Vietnam", as a part of the project "Establishment of the 2021-2030 comprehensive social housing policy in Vietnam” on April 14th, in Hochiminh city. There were Mr. Ha Quang Hung - Deputy Director of Housing and Real Estate Market Management Department (Ministry of Construction); The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) represents the Korean Government and the Department of Construction of the Southern provinces and a number of real estate enterprises at the conference.

  • A seminar to kick off a project on institutional strengthening and capacity building for sustainable urban development in Vietnam (ISCB project) was held in Hanoi on April 13th, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Born; Head of Development Cooperation, Swiss Embassy in Vietnam Marcel Reymond; United Nations Resident Coordinator in Vietnam Kamal Malholtra; leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, representatives of a number of localities, a large number of domestic and international experts and guests.
