Hà Nội People’s Committee on Thursday began the construction of a modern garbage treatment plant, worth of VND 500 billion, in Đông Anh District.

The plant is powered by Plasma PJMI technology.
With a capacity of 300 tons a day, it is a closed garbage treatment process from receiving input, which is processed by a line that benefits from Plasma PJMI, Biofast and Kemifast treatment.
The output meets all Vietnamese and international environmental standards. It also makes use of and recycles construction materials as well as supplies organic fertilizer for markets.
The plant is expected to be completed by Q2/2013.
At present, Hà Nội’s garbage discharged is estimated at 6,000 to 7,000 tons per day, according to Vice Chairman of the city’s People's Committee Vũ Hồng Khanh.
