The Government has signed a decision to establish the Móng Cái border gate economic zone in the north-eastern province of Quảng Ninh.
The 121,197 ha zone, bordering China's Guang Xi province to the north and the East Sea to the east, includes 66,197 ha of land and 55,000 ha of sea.
The free trade and duty free zone will feature modern international border gates, industrial zones, financial centers and residential areas.
It will include Móng Cái city, Hải Hà industrial zone and seaport, Quang Hà town and a number of wards, districts and communes.
Mong Cai border gate handles about 3.2 million tons of goods on average annually and is targeting export growth of 25% per year./.
