The Ministry of Construction chaired and coordinated with the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) in Vietnam to organize a workshop to summarize the implementation of the law on planning in accordance with the Law on Urban Planning, the Law on Construction 2014 and propose policies in the Law on Urban and Rural Planning, on March 10^th. This is one of the activities of the Ministry of Construction to implement the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister on reviewing and perfecting institutions, urban development associated with rural development. Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van chaired the workshop. Representatives of the Government Office, leaders of the Department of Construction, the Department of Planning and Architecture of the provinces and centrally-run cities, and a large number of domestic and international experts attended the workshop.

The Central Economic Commission (CEC) of Vietnam, the Ministry of Construction in partnership with the French Development Agency (AFD), have jointly organized the first seminar amongst its series of national-level seminars on strengthening the resilience and recovery capacity of Vietnam urban areas from the impacts of climate change, on March 7^th. This seminar is organized under the framework of  the Water and Natural Resources Management Fund (WARM Facility) funded by the European Union.

Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction had a meeting and worked with a high-ranking delegation of the Dominican Republic’s United Left Movement (MIU) led by MIU General Secretary and Minister of Regional Integration Policies of the Dominican Republic, Miguel Mejia, on February 22^nd.

Academy of Managers for Construction and Cities under the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction and the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held a bilateral cooperation conference in 2023 to establish Vietnam-Korea Cooperation Center on smart cities and construction technology in presence of representatives of the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Construction Technology (KICT), the Korean Institute of Human Settlement; Korea Land and Housing Corporation; Korea Advanced Infrastructure Technology Agency; representatives of the Academy of Managers for Construction and Cities, the Department of Urban Development, the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of Architectural Planning (Ministry of Construction) on February 15^th.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van worked with a delegation of the World Bank (WB) led by Ms. Maria Angelica Sotomayor - Water Practice Manager, East Asia and Pacific Region at The World Bank on February 7, 2023.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van had a meeting with Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa - Founder of Pacific Construction Group (China) on January 11^th, 2023, in presence of leaders of departments and agencies under the Ministry of Construction.

The 4th Deputy Ministerial Meeting between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan (MLIT) was held at the MoC’s headquarter on December 21^st. On Vietnamese side, there was Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van; leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction. On Japanese side, there was Deputy Minister Nishida Shoji; leaders of units under MLIT.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi had a meeting with Japanese Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Nishida Shoji on strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interes on December 21^st at the MoC’s headquarter, in presence of leaders of units under 2 ministries.

Vietnam's Ministry of Construction and Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) jointly organized the 8th Vietnam - Japan conference on construction on December 20^th, in presence of Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh; Deputy Minister of MLIT Nishida Shoji; Deputy Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam; experts, leaders of agencies and units under the two ministries and enterprises of the two countries.

The 40th meeting of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee was held via teleconference on December 20^th. Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Co-Chairman of Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee and Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, Co-Chairman of Cuba - Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee, co-chaired the meeting.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van had a meeting with Counselor of the Danish Embassy Troels Jakobsens and Vice Chairman of LEGO Group cum General Director of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd Preben Elnef on December 19^th, 2022, at the Ministry of Construction’s headquarter.
