Vietnam Urban Green Growth Week 2015, sponsored by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, co-organized by VUF, VUPDA, ACV, BCI Asia Vietnam Co. Ltd and Women Museum, aims to fulfill tasks assigned by the Prime Minister in the National Strategy and National Action Plan on green growth in the period of 2014 – 2020, to booster cooperation among potential partners in urban development in particular and in construction sector in general.

Opening the Vietnam Urban Green Growth Week 2015, Deputy Minister Phan Thi My Linh said green growth meant not only recovering the adverse effects to environment but also updating and applying systematic thinking in growth and development. Acknowledging the importance of green growth models and their implementation solutions suitable with each specific city, Deputy Minister Linh suggested all cities and provinces review, modify and complete regional and municipal planning, issue urban development programs, identify built-up areas to be invested…

Deputy Minister Linh, on behalf of the MOC’s leadership, confirmed the MOC would perfect and issue legislation ralating to green growth, work out the urban green growth strategy, provide indicators for urban green growth, apply green solutions, technology and building materials in planning and designing cities. In addition, the MOC would pay more attention to training and educating human resource in green growth.
