On November 3, the Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung has received and worked with the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association (VUPDA). The Deputy Nguyen Dinh Toan, Deputy Phan Thi My Linh also had attended.
At the receiving, the VUPDA has reported to the Minister some main content of the activities of the Association, and preparations for the Fourth Congress, the term 2014-2019 and International Workshop "Prospects for regional planning major cities".
The VUPDA has 6540 members, living in 35 assembly facility. This is the social and professional organizations of urban planners across the country.
Through 16 years of operation, the VUPDA has gone through 3 times Congress. In 2 days 8-9/11, the VUPDA will host the Fourth Congress, the term 2014 to 2019.
Speaking at the meeting, the Minister Trinh Dinh Dung emphasized the role of the VUPDA in the construction in general, in the field of planning and urban development in particular. The Minister appreciated the success of the VUPDA in the last term, as well as counseling, peer and social expertise, science, technology and environment.
Ministers look forward to in the future, the VUPDA continues participation deeper and wider in the planning of the country, especially in regional planning, with independent voices, contributing to enhance quality of planning projects, worthy of the common home of those who do the planning work across the country.
