Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi had a meeting and worked with General Director of Shandong International Economic and Technical Cooperation Group (China) Cai Kun and members of the delegation on December 3rd.



Overview of the meeting.

At the meeting, General Director Cai Kun introduced Shandong International Economic and Technical Cooperation Group (Shandong Group) and the Group's investment results in recent years in China and other countries around the world on projects on traffic infrastructure and technical infrastructure.

General Director Cai Kun said that Shandong Group currently paid much attention in investment projects on highways, high-speed railways, especially social housing in Vietnam. Therefore, Shandong Group wishes to cooperate on construction technology, new materials and establishes long-term partnerships in Vietnam.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi congratulated the achievements of Shandong Group in recent years. According to the Minister, the development of expressways, high-speed railways, and urban railways in major cities of Vietnam is an opportunity for domestic and international enterprises to participate in investment. In addition, Vietnam is accelerating the implementation of the program to develop 1 million social housing apartments in the period of 2020-2030. The Ministry of Construction welcomes Shandong Group's proposal to support construction technology, new materials, and financial and credit support in reducing the cost of social housing, meeting the requirements of urban residents in Vietnam.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized that the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction always created conditions for international enterprises to cooperate and implement projects in Vietnam, within the framework of current Vietnamese laws, and wished General Director Cai Kun and the members of the delegation a successful business trip in Vietnam.
