Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi welcomed the working delegation of the Party, National Assembly, Government and people of Cuba to visit and work with the Ministry of Construction and expressed his joy to meet again the Chairman of the National Assembly and members of the delegation.
Minister Nghi emphasized that the Party, NA, Government and people of Vietnam are extremely grateful to the Party, NA, Government and people of Cuba for sending representatives to attend the funeral of General Secretary Trong, and extend condolences over his passing. Especially during the Plenary Session on July 19, 2024 (the day General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong passed away), the Cuban NA observed a minute of silence in honour of General Secretary Trong. The moves are extremely sincere and friendship gestures that only exist between the comrades and brothers.
He also stressed that General Secretary Trong had always reserved special affection for Cuba and its people. When he was still alive, the Party chief always affirmed that the faithful and steadfast relationship between Vietnam and Cuba has overcome all challenges, constantly grown and contributed to the cause of justice of the two peoples.
The special traditional brotherly and friendship relations between Vietnam and Cuba have been constantly consolidated and strengthened in all channels of the Party, State and people. The Party, State and people of Vietnam highly respected and are determined to further deepen the special solidarity and traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, always supported the cause of justice of Cuba.
Stating that Vietnam is always grateful to the Party, Government and people of Cuba for helping Vietnam during difficult times, with special evidences such as hospitals, schools, roads... supported by Cuba.
The Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, as the presiding agency of the Vietnam Division in the Intergovernmental Committee (UBLCP) Vietnam - Cuba, will always maintain, continue and develop the legacy of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in the relations with Cuba.

Overview the reception.
In recent times, the Ministry of Construction has supported Vietnamese businesses in exploring investment cooperation opportunities and signing cooperation agreements in Cuba as well as supporting Cuban companies in finding investment cooperation opportunities in Vietnam. Currently, there are 06 projects invested by Vietnamese enterprises in Cuba in the fields of: construction materials production, washing powder production, diaper production, solar energy, animal feed, ... The projects have partly supported Cuba in providing itself with essential goods for the people, while also creating jobs for Cubans. Ministry of Construction has also supported and guided Dinvai Vietnam Company to be granted a class 2 certificate in the fields of civil construction, road and industrial park infrastructure, which is a favorable condition for Dinvai Company to participate in more civil construction projects in Vietnam.
However, in recent times, Cuba has encountered difficulties in providing electricity, raw materials and fuels which affected to productivity, product quality and investment efficiency of enterprises of both sides. Therefore, the Ministry of Construction proposed to the Party, State and Government of Cuba to consider and provide appropriate and timely solutions to ensure a stable supply of electricity, fuel and materials to ensure stable operation of the plants, goods to the market and jobs for Cuban workers. The success of Vietnamese businesses currently in Cuba will be a great motivation to attract other Vietnamese businesses to continually invest in Cuba in the future.
For his part, the Cuban leader affirmed that the passing of General Secretary Trọng is not only a great loss to the Party, State and people of Việt Nam and his family, but also to the Party, State and people of Cuba.
He also stressed that, the President as well as all Cubans always remember the famous statement of leader Fidel: "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice all its blood”, has become the motto of the faithful and pure relationship between Vietnam and Cuba in the past, present and future. Over the past years, the special traditional relationship between Vietnam and Cuba has constantly strengthened in all fields.

Hernandez said that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a great ideologist who had worked hard to cultivate the friendship, solidarity, and sustainable cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.
Regarding the Construction industry, the Chairman personally has a deep attachment because he has also worked in the Construction industry for a long time. He affirmed that that he always concerned and hoped the relationship increasingly developed, and committed to accompany and support Vietnamese and Cuban businesses to overcome difficulties. The Cuban National Assembly has also been considering adopting many new guidelines and policies to stabilize foreign businesses in Cuba, creating a safe and favorable business environment for businesses.
