These car parks will be constructed beneath public spaces such as parks, squares, and gardens. Spanning a total of 104 hectares, each car park will consist of three to four storeys.
The city’s authorities will also repurpose existing car parks in historic inner-city areas to create underground and multi-storey parking zones.
Based on Hanoi's recently approved underground space plan, the city's subterranean area will encompass 756 square metres across 20 districts, with a maximum depth of 30 metres. The underground network will comprise transportation, technical infrastructure, electrical systems, and public spaces such as commercial and service centres, supermarkets, entertainment venues, and car parks.
