On January 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung chaired the press conference to review tasks in 2021 and guide directions of 2022 plan within the construction industry.

At the press conference, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Construction Ta Quang Vinh summarized the implementation situation in 2021 and the direction, tasks, and direction of the 2022 of the construction industry. In 2021, the whole construction industry has made great efforts to complete the Annual Work Plan, achieving and exceeding most of the targets in the main plan.

Specifically, compared to 2020, the added value of the Construction industry is expected to increase by 0.2 - 0.5%; construction price index increased by 4.34%; transaction price index of some types of real estate increased by 3.1%. The average housing area nationwide is estimated at 25 m2/person.

In 2022, the construction industry determined, united, and made efforts to perform the tasks assigned by the National Assembly and the Government following the guiding spirit of the National Assembly in Resolution No. 32/2021/QH15 dated November 12, 2021 on the socio-economic development plan in 2022.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Construction, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung thanked reporters and journalists for reflecting, reporting objectively, timely and effectively about the construction industry in 2021, and shared the goals in 2022.

In 2022, the Construction industry will focus on completing a number of key tasks: Researching, building and synchronously completing institutions, developing and improving the efficiency of law enforcement; promoting construction investment management, construction quality supervision, planning management, architecture, urban development management, technical infrastructure management, housing development and real estate market production, construction material management; focusing on administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment in association with building e-Government, restructuring and equalization of state-owned enterprises.

At the press conference, leaders of departments and units under the Ministry of Construction directly answered reporters' questions about some hot issues of the construction industry in recent times related to land issues; solutions to manage and control land price increases in localities; export volume of cement and clinker increased dramatically compared to previous years...
