Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai approved the proposal of the State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV) on negotiations with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for loans to finance the Supporting Viet Nam Water Sector Investment Program.

The negotiations are scheduled from November 7-9, 2012 in Ha Noi.
The Deputy PM assigned the SBV to cooperate with ministries and relevant agencies to complete necessary procedures of negotiations and report to the PM.
The program aims to provide sustainable provision of safe water in Binh Duong Province, Dak Lak Province, Da Nang City, Hai Phong City, Thua Thien-Hue Province, and Quang Tri Province.
The program is expected to improve the efficiency of participating water supply companies, increase coverage to 90% by 2020 and enhance business planning, asset and financial management.
