Japan continues to cooperate with Vietnam in the field of environment

On 18th March, Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung received the delegation of Japan lead by Mr. Shinji Inoue, Senior Vice Minister of Environment of Japan.

At the meeting, Minister Trinh Dinh Dung welcomed Mr. Shinji Inoue and the delegation visited and worked with the Ministry of Construction on the occasion of 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.

The Minister stressed the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries, economic relations, trade and investment between Vietnam and Japan have developed well in many areas, in particular in the field of environment. In the future, Minister Trinh Dinh Dung expressed that the Japanese Ministry of Environment will continue the cooperation projects to reduce, recycle and reuse solid waste (3R); support training, research and apply processing technologies for unsorted waste at a reasonable cost in Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Shinji Inoue expressed his thanks to Minister Trinh Dinh Dung for his time to receive and work with the delegation and committed that in the near future, Japan will continue to support Viet Nam in many areas including the environment.
