First Japanese-modeled IP’s construction starts in HN

The project, covering nearly 600 ha, is suitable to the Government’s development trend and goal, aiming to promote industries with high production, added value and competitiveness, said Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai at the ceremony.

The establishment of Hanssip is expected to develop auxiliary industries of Ha Noi in particular and attract auxiliary industry projects for Viet Nam in general, he added.

In the first phase, the industrial park will receive US$1 billion and is designed by Nippon Koei Group on Japanese standards.

Hanssip is a complex of support industries, townships, services, logistics, commercial centers, banks, clinics, schools and other facilities to ensure living conditions for workers, specialists and their families within the park.

This IP is expected to attract 200 investors operating in various industries like mechanical engineering, textiles and garments, footwear, electronics, information technology, automobile manufacturing and assembling, and high-tech industry. Around 30,000 jobs will be generated.
