On September 27, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee announced that Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Tan Dung has officially approved the adjustment of the general planning for Nha Trang City by 2015.
Under the general planning, Nha Trang will become a tourism centre and an economic, scientific and technology, educational and training and health centre of the South Central Coastal region and Central Highlands.
The total area for the adjustment of the general planning of Nha Trang City will be about 26,574 hectares, including Nha Trang City covering 25,260 hectares, and two communes of Dien An and Dien Toan covering 1,287 hectares. The development direction will be to the south and the west, a little to the north along the coastline./.
