The workshop titled “Developing Da Nang towards a Smart City” was jointly-held by Da Nang’s People’s Committee and IBM Vietnam.
The conference aims to build and promote the modern information technology architecture and infrastructure for the city to improve the living standards for local people.
Under the roadmap jointly developed by Da Nang City and IBM Vietnam, the two sides will focus cooperation on three main fields like traffic, management of water supply and wastewater quality at industrial parks and factories as well as management of food safety.
Accordingly, IBM experts will propose strategies, analyze and compare services and systems of Da Nang City with other developing cities.
They will also indentify best challenges and chances to apply smart technologies to establish and complete public service systems for the city.
Earlier, Da Nang was selected as one of 33 municipalities worldwide to receive fund from the US-based giant IBM Smarter Cities Challenge..
