As many as 2,300 contracts worth over VND200 billion in total have been signed at the International Exhibition of Construction, Building Materials, Housing and Interior Décor (Vietbuild 2013) in the southern city of Can Tho.
This information was released by representatives of the organising board on October 7 who said this shows a good signal in the context of the current economic difficulties.
The contracts relate to the fields of buying and selling construction materials, construction quality inspection, mechanical construction machinery, cement, steel, bricks, roofing, painting, solar energy, sound insulation materials, thermal insulation, fire alarm equipment, burglar alarm, refrigeration, folding partition, kitchen appliances, carpet, handicrafts and wallpaper.
In addition, many foreign enterprises are intent on setting up representative offices and distributors in Can Tho and other major cities throughout the nation.
It is the most successful international exhibition to date, particularly in the areas of trade promotion, construction investment cooperation, technology transfer, market expansion and international integration.
The 450 stand exhibition, themed “Develop and Transfer Construction Technology in Vietnam” attracted more than 200domestic and foreign enterprises from theRepublic of Korea, Japan, Indonesia, China, Germany, Italy, Thailand and Malaysia.
