The northern province of Bac Ninh has planned to build two new industrial sites by 2020, according to the local overall planning to 2020 with a vision towards 2030 approved by the provincial People’s Committee.
By 2020, the locality will be home to 24 modern industrial clusters. The 22 ones will be restructured.
In the 2020-2030 period, the province will build five more industrial clusters and shift six others into urban and service areas.
The province will gradually stop granting new investment licenses to projects that cause environmental pollution.
In recent years, Bac Ninh province has achieved remarkable results in socio- economic development. In 2012, the province’s gross domestic product (GDP) was estimated at VND13,607 billion, up 12.3% over 2011, ranking second in the Red River Delta and the ninth nationwide by growth rate./.
