Mr Triet made the remark while attending the inauguration ceremony of the Cement Plant in the southern province of Tay Ninh on December 28.
The State leader expressed his belief that the Tay Ninh Cement Plant will uphold the glorious tradition of the Tay Ninh people to become an important monument to the industrial sector in the near future.
On this occasion, President Triet also presented an Independent Order of first class to the Construction and Materials Corporation No.1 under the Ministry of Construction, which is the chief investor in the Tay Ninh Cement Plant.
The plant has been put into operation after 25 months of construction, with a design capacity of 1.5 million tonnes of cement a year in the first phase. It will double its current capacity in the second phase.
